       Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Siwan was established in the year 1991 under the National Education Policy of the Central Government. Sri A.K. Shukla was the founder Principal and Sri Shishir Kumar Sinha, D.M., Siwan was first chairman of the the Vidyalaya management Committee. Since its inception in 1991 the Vidyalay is running in the premises of Women's Teacher Training College of the State Government. Till date 27 Acres of land at Karmali Hata has been allotted by  the Government of Bihar for its permanent premises where construction work is going on. It is expected that the Vidyalaya is likely to be shifted to the permanent site at the end of the Year 2006. Presently 40 students are admitted in class VI every year and they taught upto Class X. For 10+2 education students are sent to the near by Vidyalaya under the mini migration programme. It is expected that Class XI will be started from the session 2007-2008. The Principal with his team member managing the Vidyalaya with utmost care and dedication under the noble guidelines of Navodaya Vidyalaya samiti.
